Elrathia kingii trilobite mortality plate found in the Wheeler Shale, House Range, Millard County, Utah. This plate measures approximately 5" tall by 4.5" wide and 1 1/2" thick. Stands on it's own. Two whole Elrathia kingii trilobite molts and five completes with some trilobite partials can be seen on this mortality plate.
This is called a "Mortality Plate" because it is a frozen snapshot of a Death Assemblage.
